Carol Schofield (Gamage), 75 of Lincoln passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center.

She was the wife of the late David Schofield. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William Gamage, Sr. and the late Laura (Church) Lorette.

She had worked for many years as a hairdresser and was a hairdressing instructor at Newport School of Hairdressing. Carol enjoyed traveling, she especially enjoyed her annual girls trip to Florida and stitching trips with the stitching girls. Her laugh was addictive and her smile was contagious.

Carol is survived by two sons, James O’Brien and his girlfriend Michelle of Smithfield and Mark Lorette of Lincoln. A brother, William Gamage, Jr of Pawtucket and her best friend, Linda Gibbons of Lincoln. She also leaves behind 2 grandchildren and 5½ great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother to the late Daniel Hoyt.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 28th from 2pm until 4pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private.
